My Dad and his Proverbs

My dad likes using Proverbs.

Here is one of his heaviest used saying / proverb

Why ask the way to a village to which you will never go!

He uses this mostly when I watch football or cricket because he says that there is no point watching and learning about something that you are never going to do or use.

My counter arguement is that no one knows when a peice of knowledge will be useful. So it makes sence to learn about as much as you can, when you can.
