The BBC website had an article on Lulu.
This is a new website that allows people to get published as writers even if they have been rejected by mainstream publishers. Lulu prints books on demand so that there are no "books left on the shelf".
It is using the same model for music and photograhs
The royalties are much better aswell (80% of each book sold rather than 10%-20% from mainstream publishers)
